Morning everybody, how are you all doing? hopefully coping alright after the tragic and devastating news of the Queen’s passing last Thursday. I know many people around the world are upset and shocked about losing such an amazing and iconic lady, who for most people has been the only monarch they’ve ever known to rule the country. Serving for almost seven decades, the Queen was a global figurehead, devoted to public service and a constant figure in British life in a period of rapid political change. Throughout her reign, the Queen continued to win huge admiration for her dignity and commitment to public service with a stream of engagements despite being in her advancing years, and her dedication to the country. In 2015 she became the longest-serving monarch in British history , surpassing her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria. The Queen’s reign saw 15 different prime ministers, from Sir Winston Churchill to Liz Truss. As head of state and head of nation, Queen Elizabeth II was widely regarded as a symbol of stability, working tirelessly to make sure the monarchy remained relevant during a period of immense social, technological, and economic change. She was a monarch without equal who will now be mourned across the globe.
Moving on to some happier news, and the subject for this post…today is actually my mum’s birthday and I thought what a better way to celebrate the woman who is responsible for raising me and loving me unconditionally than to do a post on Mother-Daughter quotes to express my gratitude to her. If it wasn’t for her unwavering support, I would never have become the person I am today. She’s not only my mum, she is also my role model, confidante, personal therapist and my best friend. Even though I will be spending the day with her I still want to wish her a very Happy Birthday!

There’s nothing quite as special as the unique and unbreakable relationship between a mother and her daughter. Mothers want what’s best for their children and daughters look up to their mothers for inspiration and advice. The relationship may shift and change as time goes on but one thing always remains the same: the unconditional love that they have for each other.
Thank you for coming to my blog and reading today’s post, I hope you all manage to have a good week. Before I finish this post, I just want to say a couple of things…Number 1 being that I want to wish my mum a Happy Birthday again, and the final thing being may the Queen Rest In Peace – Thank you for your years of service, your wisdom and your grace. An incredible lady, who has truly seen it all. May you rest in peace and be reunited with your love Philip.
