Newham Grange Leisure Farm

I recently had the pleasure of going to Newham Grange Leisure Farm, it’s located in Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. There is a variety of farm animals including different breeds of sheep, pigs, cattle and more…

The farm also features a picnic area, if you’re wanting to have a breather and just relax for a little while, or to stop for some lunch. Close by is a play area, for the kids to play in, and you have a perfect view to keep them in your line of vision. Or if you want to sit down on proper seats, there is also a café located on the farm.

Although the path the whole way round is gravelly, it is wheelchair and pushchair accessible. Toilets and changing facilities are available around the farm as well.

They had a wide range of birds to look at, above ^ are only some of them.

One of the great features of the farm was, you could enter this room to pet the rabbits. It’s great experience for people of all ages to enjoy.

If you look at the first four pictures, you will find out some interesting facts about Llamas and Wallabies, for example; Llamas have 3 chambers in their stomachs, and communicate to each other through humming, or that there are 15 species of Rock Wallabies, and they are pink and furless at birth.

At the farm shop, you could buy food to feed the animals, each bag cost 50p.

A lot of the animals were laid down in their own pens, which due to the weather being very hot that day, I don’t blame them 🙂

Overall it was a great couple of hours to take the day away, and a fun and intriguing learning experience, discovering facts that I never knew before about the animals.

The address and phone number for Newham Grange Farm is:

And last but not least if you do decide to visit the farm, have a great time!
