15 Beautiful UK Seaside Towns You Need To Visit!

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I hope you’ve all had a lovely week and are keeping well! ๐Ÿ’™ As always, welcome back to my little corner of the internet, and if you’re joining me for the very first time, a huge welcome to you too! Thank you so much for taking a little bit of time out of your day to stop by and read today’s postโ€”it honestly means more than you know. Grab yourself your favourite drink โ˜•, get comfy, and let’s have a little catch-up before we dive into this week’s blog! I’ll try not to bore you all too much with another rib update because, unfortunately, there really isn’t much to report. They’re still exactly the same as they’ve been for the past month. ๐Ÿ˜• I gave the cream a proper chance, hoping it might finally make a difference, but if anything, it actually seemed to make the pain even worse rather than better. Since then, I’ve been trying to get an appointment with my GP, but as I’m sure many of you can relate to, it’s been almost impossible to get seen recently. In the meantime, I popped into my local pharmacy to ask for some advice and explained everything that had happened, including how I physically felt both sides of my ribs pop. Sadly, instead of feeling reassured, I left feeling quite upset after being told it was “all in my head.” ๐Ÿ˜” Anyone who lives with chronic pain knows the difference between imagined pain and something that genuinely doesn’t feel right, and considering I deal with pain every single day because of my health conditions, I know my own body. It definitely knocked my confidence a little, and I’ve felt quite deflated ever since. I’m just hoping that sooner rather than later I’ll finally manage to see a doctor and hopefully get some proper answers. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป
What an incredible few weeks it’s been for football fans! โšฝ Although England ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ didn’t quite make it all the way, I honestly couldn’t be prouder of how they played throughout the tournament. They showed so much determination, resilience and team spirit, and they represented the country brilliantly from start to finish. Sometimes football can be incredibly cruel, and results don’t always reflect the effort and commitment the players put in. Many supporters also felt frustrated by some of Argentina’s conduct during the tournament, and there has been ongoing discussion surrounding investigations involving the team, which certainly added to the debate. Regardless of differing opinions, one thing that united a lot of fans was the final itself. A huge congratulations has to go to Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ for lifting the trophy! ๐Ÿ† They played some fantastic football throughout the competition, and it was lovely to see them crowned deserved champions. Congratulations to every player, member of staff and supporterโ€”you’ve certainly got plenty to celebrate! ๐ŸŽ‰
One thing that definitely made me smile this week was seeing the lovely photos my sister shared in our family WhatsApp group. ๐Ÿฅน She proudly showed us just how amazingly both of my nephews have done at school this year, and honestly, it made me so proud to see everything they’ve achieved. It’s hard to believe another school year has already flown by, and now, like children all across the country, they’re officially on their summer holidays! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿฆ They both deserve a well-earned break after all their hard work, and I can’t wait to hear all about what they get up to over the next few weeks. Seeing those photos also reminded me just how long it’s been since we’ve all spent some proper quality time together as a family, so we’re definitely going to have to get a date in the diary because it feels like forever since we last saw each other. Talking about my sister, she celebrated her birthday this past Monday! ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽˆ Happy Birthday again, Kim! โค๏ธ I hope you had a lovely day and managed to celebrate, even if we didn’t get the chance to see you in person this time around. Life has been unbelievably busy for all of us over the past few weeks, and before you know it, days somehow turn into weeks. Hopefully it won’t be much longer before we can all get together properly, have a catch-up, enjoy plenty of laughs, and celebrate your birthday together as a family because that’s what really matters. Family time is always so special, and I can’t wait until we can all be together again. ๐Ÿฅฐ While I’m talking about family, another thing that’s been on my mind recently is visiting my Auntie. We were saying the other day that we haven’t actually seen her since Christmas, and honestly, I hate that. ๐Ÿ˜” Time just seems to disappear so quickly, and before you realise it, months have passed. I miss her so much, and I never like leaving it too long between visits because spending time with family is something I really treasure. So that’s definitely something we’ll be sorting out very soon! Hopefully we’ll find a date that works for everyone, spend the day together, have a good catch-up, enjoy plenty of cups of tea and make some lovely new memories. Sometimes it’s the simple moments with the people you love most that mean absolutely everything. โค๏ธ

  1. Further to my comment on your ME//CFS post, may I suggest you only have about 3 short or medium length sentences in a paragraph. Then a space.

As much as I love photography, I’m unable to read your written words as my eyes glaze over barely part way through your first paragraph. Like many FM/CFS sufferers, especially with poor reading vision, I don’t have the cognitive function to read books any more or even long articles.

Your photos are lovely. They remind me of the time I spent in the U.K. in 1976, 1978/79.
