I can’t believe its thanksgiving already, even though i don’t live in the U.S.A, I do have some American in my blood on my mum’s side, so I do get excited more around this time as it also means that Christmas is just around the corner 🙂
I thought for today’s post I would write a list of some of the things I’m thankful for, it does not cover everything that I’m grateful for as if i were to write every single thing down, you would be here for a very long time, this will just be a ‘mini’ list of things, but first I wanted to share a bit of history with how thanksgiving came to be.
Brief History of Thanksgiving:
Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday in the United States, and Thanksgiving 2018 occurs on Thursday, November 22. In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November.

I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving (if you do celebrate it) if you don’t, I still hope you have a wonderful day anyway 😀
Hi I loved this post, I think everyone should celebrate Thanksgiving all across the world and be thankful for what they have. I am thankful for having my daughters as they are my greatest accomplishment in life, and of course my husband. You don’t need to be in the US to be thankful for what you have, we should all apreciate what we’ve got. x
