Hello, Good morning everyone! Hope you’re all doing well 🤞 We had quite a shock on Sunday night (and not the good kind) as the mirror in our lounge that’s situated above the fireplace suddenly fell off the wall just narrowly missing hitting my mum and I, which could’ve done some serious damage if we had been hit as the mirror is quite big and very heavy, so luckily we avoided any serious harm, for which I’m grateful about. Other than that, nothing much has happened the past week other than we’ve started getting little bits and pieces, here and there, for Christmas. But apart from that it’s been quite cold to venture too far from our house, so I’m very grateful to my parents (especially my mum) for making sure we have plenty of blankets to keep us warm throughout the day. 😊
As you can probably guess…today’s post is about gratitude. For the past couple of years (especially) there’s been so much to be grateful for and a lot of gratuities have been shown from all over the world, but as of recent, It seems as if that’s changed, I don’t see many people nowadays showing kindness towards others which is quite sad, so when an older lady saw I was struggling to reach something on the shelf at the Supermarket – she kindly got it down for me! It might seem like only a small thing what she did, but I was very grateful to her at that moment, so when I saw that it’s National Gratitude Month, I knew two things – 1) I had to share that story about the lady and the kindness she showed me (little things like that can make a big impact on someone) and 2) This is the perfect time to do a quotes post about gratitude. So without further ado, let’s start…
Gratitude is more than simply saying “thank you.” Gratitude’s amazing powers have the ability to shift us from focusing on the negative to appreciating what is positive in our lives. Everything in our lives has the ability to improve when we are grateful. Research has shown that gratitude can enhance our moods, decrease stress, and drastically improve our overall level of health and wellbeing. On average, grateful people tend to have fewer stress-related illnesses and experience less depression and lowered blood pressure. If everyone practiced daily gratitude, we could change ourselves and the planet for the better. Everyone would be much happier. Love would grow and hate would decrease. And the world would know true peace.

“Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.” – Brian Tracy
“The world has enough beautiful mountains and meadows, spectacular skies, and serene lakes. It has enough lush forests, flowered fields, and sandy beaches. It has plenty of stars and the promise of a new sunrise and sunset every day. What the world needs more of is people to appreciate and enjoy it.” —Michael Josephson
