Morning everyone, hope you’ve all been alright! Are everybody’s kids (if you have any) back at school? And if so, are you happy that they are? I know a lot of people are glad to be able to get back to some normalcy and have a routine again 🙃 My nephews both started school this week, the oldest (he’s 5) started primary school for the first time yesterday and the youngest (who turns 2 in October) started nursery, I can’t believe how time is going by so quickly, it only seems like last week they were little babies 👶 their growing up so fast.
So quite a bit has happened since my last post. To start with, we ended up at the hospital with my dad, who had to undergo some tests as he hadn’t felt right since his car accident. Thankfully, everything came back normal; they think the way he’s feeling is all down to stress, which is understandable after what happened. Another contributing factor that was adding to the stress was his job, which didn’t help as that’s been affecting his health a lot over the years, but luckily, he’s now managed to get a new job, which he officially started yesterday. He amazingly seems happier and lighter, so fingers crossed 🤞🏼 it will remain that way.
We didn’t spend much of my dads holiday indoors, in fact we spent a lot of time out, especially over the bank holiday weekend; On the Friday, we had a day out at Skegness which was nice and surprisingly relaxing ☺️ followed by spending the day at my sisters on the Sunday, getting to have some quality time with her and the boys before school started and life became hectic. Seeing them elevated our moods even further before finally ending the bank holiday weekend on the Monday with yet another trip to the hospital to get my stitches taken out, which didn’t actually happen as the cut on my hand was still exposed and still today hasn’t healed enough not to need stitches 😒 I will be honest though – it didn’t surprise me that it hasn’t as my body doesn’t heal very quickly anymore (I have two scars on my legs that took months to heal) so I know its going to take some time, I’ve just got to be patient.
Anyway on with this week’s post…The changing of seasons can be bittersweet, especially when it’s summer you’re saying goodbye to. Instead of thinking about how much you’ll miss all those pool parties and summer barbecues, think about all there is to look forward to in the coming fall! The crisp air brings cozy sweaters, pumpkin-flavored treats, and the breathtaking transformation of leaves into vibrant hues. September is a meaningful month (it’s also my birth month), and this collection of the best quotes about September to help you kick off fall is the perfect way to celebrate it!

September marks a time of transition — summer fades, autumn arrives, and the air begins to carry the promise of change. It’s a month often associated with new beginnings: a fresh school year, renewed energy for goals, and the gentle reminder that the year still has time left for growth. To capture the spirit of this month, here are 30 of the most inspiring September quotes to reflect on and share.
“There is a clarity about September… the sun seems brighter, the sky more blue, the white clouds take on marvelous shapes; the moon is a wonderful apparition, rising gold, cooling to silver; and the stars are so big.” – Faith Baldwin

“Happily, we bask in this warm September sun, which illuminates all creatures.” – Henry David Thoreau

“There is something incredibly nostalgic and significant about the annual cascade of autumn leaves.” – Joe. L. Wheeler

“It’s the first day of autumn! A time of hot chocolatey mornings, and toasty marshmallow evenings, and, best of all, leaping into leaves!” – Winnie the Pooh

“Autumn. Time to dim the sunlight, cue the moody fog, and watch nature’s most charming story unfold.”
– Angie Weiland-Crosby

“September days have the warmth of summer in their briefer hours, but in their lengthening evenings a prophetic breath of autumn.” ― Rowland E. Robinson

“There comes a day each September when you wake up and know the summer is over and fall has arrived. The slant of the sun looks different and something is in the air — a coolness, a hint of frosty mornings to follow.” — Ann Rinaldi

“I’m not sure what August looked like for you, or what September will reveal to you, but no matter the unknowns, you are still free to hope…” — Morgan Harper Nichols

“We know that in September, we will wander through the warm winds of summer’s wreckage. We will welcome summer’s ghost.” — Henry Rollins

“September offers you 30 fresh starts. May you use them wisely.” — Unknown

New Beginning.
New mindset.
New focus.
New start.
New intentions.
New results. — Unknown
“I guess I’m just feeling all September-ish…All the trees change color, and the days get very clear, with little smoke on the horizon from burning leaves. Pumpkins begin to come out.” — George Selden

“September has come, it is hers
Whose vitality leaps in the autumn,
Whose nature prefers
Trees without leaves and a fire in the fireplace.” — Louis MacNeice

The first days of September often feel like standing in two worlds — one foot in summer’s warmth, the other in autumn’s cool shadow. It’s a month that rarely asks for attention, yet always earns it in quiet ways. The right words can mirror that balance, offering comfort, laughter, or a small push forward.
As we embrace the shifting seasons and the opportunities they bring, I wish everyone a happy new month. May September be a time of growth, renewal, and abundant blessings.
Thank you for visiting my blog and reading today’s post. Have a lovely day and an even better week, and I shall see you all in two weeks with probably lots to tell you! For now, though, I shall bid you Adieu.

September holds two birthdays dear to me my mom’s and my wife’s.

Winnie the Pooh’s nailed it perfectly. Having said that, and without wishing to seem unduly cynical, September is the month when the shops start stocking their shelves with Christmas goodies, with the express intention of separating me from my hard-earned money…we’ve already bought chocolates for the Christmas tree, but please don’t tell the Pooh! 😊
