Mystery Book Series Week

Good morning you wonderful lot, has everyone managed to have a good week or even just a good day so far? We visited Kim, Chris, and Isaac on Sunday which was so fun as we got to spend nearly all of the afternoon with them – having a good old catch-up and just talking about everything and anything whilst also playing with Isaac and his toys and at one point watching the short TV Movie Stick Man based on Julia Donaldson’s book of the same name! I’m keeping those memories of the day in my head as after we left my sister’s house, things went a bit downhill whilst traveling on the road as if it wasn’t for my dad’s quick alertness and being a cautious and safe driver, we sadly could have ended up in a serious accident (on a couple of occasions) or even worse, but thankfully we managed to avoid being in that situation thanks to my dad being sensible.

Anyway, let’s move away from that and get on with today’s post… What’s better than curling up with a mind-boggling mystery book with a cup of tea by your bedside table? Curling up with a mind-boggling mystery book that has a complete series stacked on your bedside table! For a reader, finding a good series is like hitting the literary jackpot. It takes all the guesswork out of deciding what to read next (at least until you reach the final book, anyway). Finding a good series to get lost in is every booklover’s dream. And when you can find one in the mystery genre, you’ll be licking your lips in anticipation of the plot twists and late-night “Just-one-more-page” sessions.

Did you know that it’s Mystery Series Week?
Bibliophiles, book nerds, and wanna-be-detectives will snoop around in Mystery Series Week. It’s the first full week in October. For mystery lovers, there’s nothing better than the feeling of discovering a new series to sink your teeth into. But with so many incredible mystery book series out there, it’s easy to overlook some truly incredible examples — hidden gems that any mystery fan will love. Why read a series? A single hit-and-run story doesn’t have the nuances of a serial sleuth, a career caper, or a mastermind detective. When the mystery ends, so does the mystery and the trail goes cold. If you’re in danger of running low on great mysteries to read, have no fear! Here are some of the best series to sink your teeth into!

Dispatched to kill a US government employee, he does the unthinkable when things don’t add up – he refuses to pull the trigger. In doing so, Robie finds himself becoming the target.
