This or That: Autum/Fall Edition

Hello guys, hope everyone’s ok! Has anybody else started Christmas shopping yet? I’m trying to get mine done early (hopefully by the end of this month) so I don’t have to stress too much and can actually relax a bit more next month for the actual lead up to Christmas day (we shall have to wait and see if that happens), I have to say though, I’m enjoying watching all the different Christmas adverts that have started appearing on tv, I especially like the Asda one this year featuring the Grinch! And how can you not love Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot? He’s just an iconic character now in the UK. Moving on from that, I’m not going to lie, itโ€™s honestly been quite a whirlwind the last couple of weeks!
To start with, my Mum had an ultrasound done, but for some reason, they did it on her shoulder instead of her arm, where the actual injury is. The good news, though, is that it showed no damage at all, which was such a relief ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ .
As for me, I had to cancel my physio appointment โ€” which had already been rescheduled once โ€” because I wasnโ€™t feeling great ๐Ÿ‘Ž. Iโ€™d been under the weather for a few days beforehand, and then a couple of days later, I found out why. I was diagnosed with early-onset pneumonia, which definitely explained the exhaustion, the chest pain, and the persistent cough thatโ€™s just been getting gradually worse ๐Ÿ˜ท. The doctor started me on antibiotics straight away, so Iโ€™m crossing my fingers they kick in soon and help clear it up before it gets any worse ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ. Itโ€™s been a bit rough, to be honest, but Iโ€™m trying to rest and take it easy, which isnโ€™t an easy task as we are so busy at the moment.
On top of all that, we had to go to the local council to sort out a few things that had come up, only to find theyโ€™d made several mistakes regarding my Dadโ€™s job and his income, which caused more stress than we needed ๐Ÿ˜ฐ. To round things off, we were also supposed to have a meeting with an occupational therapist over a week ago, but they never showed up. Instead, they turned up the following day when we already had other commitments we couldnโ€™t change. Itโ€™s definitely been one of those weeks where everything seems to happen at once.
But itโ€™s not been all bad, both of my nephews are doing extremely well at their schools ๐Ÿ˜Š the oldest one is smashing his lessons and coming on leaps and bounds, I dont think his teachers ever have a bad word to say about him, which Iโ€™ve never had any doubt about as he his the sweetest kid ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿป and the youngest has been so caring and helpful towards his other classmates, even getting another boy a tissue when he needed one when no other kid would ๐Ÿคง. To say Iโ€™m a proud Auntie is an understatement ๐Ÿฅน.

Anyway, shall we get on with todayโ€™s post?โ€ฆ

Crisp air, cozy sweaters, and pumpkin spice everything โ€” autumn is officially here! To celebrate the season of golden leaves and comfort, I thought itโ€™d be fun to play a little This or That: Autumn Edition. From apple picking vs. pumpkin carving to hot cocoa vs. chai lattes, this post is all about the little choices that make fall so special, including my choices for some of the best seasonal debates. So, grab your favorite blanket, pour yourself something warm, and play along โ€” Iโ€™d love to hear your picks too!

Thank you for coming to my blog and reading today’s post. I’m off for a couple of weeks now, and I’m hoping that in that time I can shift this infection. I hope you all have a lovely day, and I shall see you in 2 weeks with probably lots more to tell you! Bye for now ๐Ÿ˜„

  1. What a beautifully warm and relatable post! ๐Ÿ‚โœจ I absolutely loved how you blended personal updates with cozy seasonal reflections โ€” it feels like catching up with an old friend over tea. Your writing flows so naturally, capturing both the real-life ups and downs and the simple joys of autumn. Iโ€™m so glad your mumโ€™s scan came back clear, and I truly hope your recovery from pneumonia continues smoothly โ€” you deserve all the rest and comfort right now.

Your nephews sound absolutely wonderful โ€” such kind and thoughtful boys, and itโ€™s easy to see where they get it from! ๐Ÿ˜Š The โ€œThis or That: Autumn Editionโ€ was such a fun and charming touch โ€” it instantly made me want to join in. Red foliage, cozy socks, oversized hoodies, and tea sound like the perfect seasonal combination!
