Book Quotes

Morning everybody, hope you’re all well! This week has been pretty mellow compared to previous weeks, we got the Vitamin D tablets issue sorted, my dad got his car fixed as the exhaust didn’t sound good as it was scraping on the floor, luckily it didn’t take too long (roughly an hour) to fix especially as my dad’s car, is an old make and most places don’t have the parts in at the time, so they have to get them ordered in, but it meant that once they had fixed it, he could go straight to work. My mum and I also wrote a letter to our local MP as a last resort to an issue we’re having, hoping he might be able to help in some way, it took us a few hours to write the whole situation out as there’s so many elements to what it’s regarding, so it was quite long, but unfortunately we’ve run out of options as our local council sends us round in circles, getting us nowhere. Other than that, we’ve been watching the Harry Potter franchise (again), as they’ve been airing one movie at a certain time, on one of our usual channels, so that’s been nice to relax to. It’s made me want to read the books, which I unfortunately don’t own any copies of yet, but I have read and finished two other books this week, one of which I resonate a lot with – especially the choice of words, which will bring me onto this week’s post in a minute, but for now I need to choose a new book to immerse myself in!

Books are the purest form of escapism. From a stunning first sentence to a perfect string of dialogue, there are certain parts of books that feel particularly memorable. They can take you to any time, place, or culture. Whether they make us laugh, cry, or simply reflect, these quotable lines have a habit of sticking with us long after we turn the final page. In honor of National Book Lovers Day August 9, let’s put away our smartphones, pull out a good book and simply read (An audiobook will suffice too). From beloved bestsellers to iconic celebrities, these quotes exemplify the benefits of reading and of a good books to comfort, challenge, and inspire you. Read on for some of the best book quotes we won’t ever forget.

Great literature has gifted us some of the most meaningful and timeless quotes about life, love, and everything in between. Writers can put words to the feelings and experiences we can’t quite capture ourselves and leave us with quotes that resonate long after we’ve turned the page. Sometimes, we’re inspired by a quote that we didn’t even know came from a book. Whether they’re inspirational, raw, poetic, wise, or downright beautiful, the best book quotes are worth writing down and remembering. That’s why I compiled this little list of book quotes from some of the world’s most beloved authors. 1. Sister Peyton, I’m sorry I don’t have time to read your entire post at the moment but will convert it to audio to listen to.

I like this quite because it’s about the garden 🪴 and I’m in love with trees 🌳

Letter writing is a good method, but it’s hidden, the volume of letters to an MP might not be disclosed publicly. You might consider taking bites of your letter and respectfully posting online where your voice is amplified and politicians have to be more thoughtful and your voice can not be ignored.

Your social posts will be amplified by those who agree with you and politicians tend to be very image conscious so this may offer an alternative to consider.

Have a lovely Thursday, I’m off to bed in Kansas, but originally from Shropshire, Oxfordshire (my father was Royal Air Force)
