Best Rosa Diaz Quotes!

Hello my wonderful friends, hope your all doing well, and managed to enjoy the week. Other than my ribs making me really poorly, we actually had a lovely weekend – we went back to my hometown and saw my Auntie K and Auntie V for a few hours. We took them both out to a nearby pub to have a couple of drinks (well my Auntie V had a couple of small lagers whilst the rest of us had soft drinks), it was really nice spending time with both of them again and this time on a happy occasion! Even though the sun got quite hot at times, it was lovely being able to reminisce about old times. Something else that was really nice was being able to build a relationship that was took away from me with my Auntie V and reconnecting again with my Auntie K who I was really close to growing up. Because it was such a long day, I have been in absolute agony with my ribs/shoulder/neck which has made me very exhausted, so I’ve been having to rest a lot since we got back which brings me to this week’s post –

Because I’ve been having to rest, I do like most people end up doing, which is binge-watching movies and tv shows and one of my go-tos is Brooklyn Nine-Nine which brings me to the fourth instalment of character quotes, and this time we’re focusing on the tough-as-nails Detective Rosa Diaz…Rosa isn’t one for chit chat on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. That’s why when she does speak, they’re words of wisdom that many can relate to. Rosa is nothing but honest with her friends and family, and she’s not afraid to show it. But while she plays the tough cop well, she’s also got a softer side that sometimes comes through. Rosa’s grew into one of the most beloved in the series. For the cold, unsmiling demeanor, she provides some of the biggest laughs of the whole series. Here are some of her best moments!

(4×9 – The Overmining)
(5×18 – Gray Star Mutual)
(2×22 – The Chopper)
(1×16 – The Party)
(5×3 – Kicks)
(7×4 – The Jimmy Jab Games II)
(3×23 – Greg and Larry)
(5×10 – Game Night)
(1×3 – The Slump)
(1×14 – The Ebony Falcon)
(3×6 – Into The Woods)
(3×10 – Yippie Kayak)
(2×12 – Beach House)
(4×8 – Skyfire Circle)
(4×5 – Halloween IV)
(1×8 – Old School)
(2×21 – Det. Dave Majors)
(3×4 – The Oolong Slayer)
(6×15 – Return Of The King)
(1×2 – The Tagger)
(6×4 – Four Movements)
(2×15 – Windbreaker City)
(1×7 – 48 Hours)
(2×5 – The Mole)
(2×20 – ACDC)

Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to read today’s post, I hope you all have a good week and manage to enjoy some of the sunshine, for now though I shall say see you next Wednesday!

    1. I love Brooklyn 99 (of course) but some of my other favourites also include; Friends, HIMYM, Modern Family, New Girl, TBBT, Young Sheldon, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Good Place just to name a few happy 😃 What are some of yours?

      1. I thought that the first couple of seasons of TBBT were hilarious, and I recommended them widely. What I noticed is that over time is that many of the same “funnies” were repeated … I know it’s extremely difficult to remain “fresh”, and for sure there are timeless “funnies.” Did you ever notice that trend in some shows?

      2. Yeah I completely agree with you there, and over time they brought up old jokes that had already been forgotten. But I suppose the writers have to be careful with what they write for fear of being attacked and the backlash they could receive, they wouldn’t want to offend anyone.

      3. I hear you, and I’m curious about what your thoughts are about a show like Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Since you asked, I actually recently recommended two of my favorite funny shows: Resident Alien and Ted Lasso, and even explained why they bring cheer to the heart and philosophical observations to the mind.

      4. I’ve heard of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I’ve never really been too fussed to watch it.

I’ve heard of both those shows and have yet to watch them, especially Ted Lasso as I’ve heard really rave reviews about it. 😀

  1. My wife an I are watching Brooklyn nine nine for the past couple of months. I’m at the start of season 4. I love how the characters have such clear, defining traits but still manage to evolve throughout the series while staying true to those traits. My absolute favorite episode is where Rosa and Captain Holt are grieving together about Rosa breaking up with his nephew. It manages to be hilarious and truly heartfelt at the same time.

    Great post.
